I think we'd all like to believe in
the impossible.

I think we all dream of believing
in dreams.

I think we all hope to remember
the hopes of the world.

Even in our greatest moments, there are the fears
that haunt us.

Past the old photographs, past the paths that lead me to different settings, different circumstances, past the mailbox where I dropped the letter meant for you, past the handshakes and footsteps and cat-calls. Down these hills, down these streams, down these rabbit-holes. Up and away, into the new days we have come to, up to the sky where we have met our matches and met our makers. Away and away; from where we were and what we once knew, what we once believed; to what we do believe. To who we are, who we wished we could be, who we have become.

I am wary of your wisdoms, wary of your words. Wary of the souls that may here converge, in the highlands, along the edges of the reserves. We leave footprints, we shake hands, we leave impressions; water-marks on paper with a quited hope that none will see. The world will see; they notice. They see you when you sleep, when you hide, when you gesture, when you are or are not complete.

And yet,
I still believe
in dreams.
