The Changing Game

I enter the bathroom stall
Wearing fake chucks and skinny jeans;
I am the equal, before
The transformation.
Also, I am invisible.
Remove the t-shirt, the skin-tight jeans;
Remove the things that are 'me.'
All small remainders tamed
Away, broken down; I find my human,
Woman form. Naked in the
Union bathroom.
I decorate, ensconce this figure with
Fashions unfamiliar. Layers of
Respect Me Pants, a name tag
For good measure. Labels,
Labels for fine Individuals!
I exit the bathroom stall
Near a presentable authoritative image.
One more layer, a manipulation of the
Face; the Face! Before I take my role.
Requirements for costume, I exit
And clown in Business Casual;
We're actors, we're acting! I swear
This isn't it! You have yet to Meet me
Behind the suit jacket!
The world conceives collared clothing,
Discerning the demeanor of the wearer;
My presence felt, I take to the stage
And assume employee role.

[Underneath I am Naked Woman,
I am Warrior Woman, I am Human-
I am Discovered, Beauty, Entirety;
Underneath the core awaits you, and Me.
You'll know me best without
External impediments, without these
Costumes- Costumes! Each day we
Dress, undress, put on and take off
The mask. But do not forfeit your confidence:
Some days there are unveilings
In Union bathrooms. ]
